Long term religious based drug rehab centers: the ideology of this type of drug rehab is to get the person out of their immediate environment and to get them into a hard work type of camp with a religious concept and get the person back in contact with God. A small percentage of individuals see this program to its completion.

Behavioral modification drug rehab centers: This type of program uses peer pressure to break a person’s character down in attempts to build them back up. This can involve using degradation attempts and the concept is to break the spirit into something that can be rebuilt. Only sometimes does this type of treatment work to “rebuild” someone harmlessly.

Biophysical treatment drug rehab centers: Drug rehab centers like the biophysical ones addresses the biophysical and biochemical imbalances with a unique sauna program that eliminates toxins from the body, to eliminate cravings. This is followed by a social educational program to teach new life skills that will allow a person to be better able to tackle life’s many hardships and come out on top. The skills include learning to communicate properly and practicing this skill, then learning about personalities and the traits of others as well as being able to associate with good people. A large component is the ability to live life based on ones personal views but within the morals of society.

This culminates with the person applying these skills to repair the damage of the things that are holding them back in life now. Quite often, these issues are formed earlier in life that now need to be addressed so that a person is free to live a happy and drug free, productive life.

The final stage is created specifically for the individual and it is made after the case supervisor has been able to see what that individual needs to work on specifically to ensure their success.

In the year 2003, Saskatchewan reported 159 motor vehicle fatalities. Of those, 152 were found to have alcohol involved in one way or the other.  That is to say that 95.6% of all fatalities were reported to involve alcohol. 70 of these fatalities or 46.1% were squarely attributed to alcohol misuse.

There were 251 single vehicle collisions where serious injuries were suffered. Of those, 114 or 45.4% were reported to be alcohol related.  During this time there were 454 multi vehicle accidents. Of those, 75 or 16.5% were related to alcohol.  According to the same study, the deviation between alcohol being exhibited and being a bestowing factor depended on the amount of information available, and the position of the persons who deceased. "A motor vehicle fatality was considered to be alcohol related if there was at least one driver who had been drinking or a pedestrian drinking in the fatal crash".

As a comparison, in the province of Ontario it costs a minimum of $200 to see an emergency doctor before any tests or other medical related activity is undertaken. Using that as a standard, the approximate cost on the medical system for just the serious alcohol related injuries would be $37,800 in Saskatchewan.
