Twelve steps drug rehab centers: The twelve step tradition is a time tested method of recovery from various obsessive-compulsive behaviors which the affected individuals believe have made their lives unmanageable.  These simple tools for living have been used by millions of people to successfully change their lives and recover from negative and even life threatening behaviors.  They are based on a set of spiritual (not religious) principles originally created by alcoholics anonymous in the United States in 1935.  Anonymity as a spiritual principle is the underpinning of the twelve-step way of life.  Sharing and supporting in groups with like-minded individuals and ongoing fellowship is a major component in the success of the program.

The twelve steps address different "problems" such as alcohol abuse, drug abuse, overeating, gambling etc.

Long term religious based drug rehab centers: The ideology is to get the person out of their environment and into a hard work type of camp with a religious concept and to get the person back in contact with God. Generally, only a small percentage of individuals actually complete the program.

Behavioral modification drug rehab centers: These programs are based on trying to break the person down and rebuild them. This is done through peer pressure and it relies on telling the person that they are bad and degrading them. The concept is to break the spirit into something that can be rebuilt. Sometimes, a small percentage of people can be rebuilt into a harmless person.

Biophysical treatment drug rehab centers: Theses treatment centers address the biophysical and biochemical imbalances with a unique sauna program that remove toxins from the body, to eliminate cravings. This is followed by a social educational program to teach new life skills that will help a person be able to tackle life’s many hardships and come out on top. The skills include learning to communicate properly and practicing this skill, then learning about different personalities and the traits, as well as being able to associate with good people. A large component is the ability to live life based on ones personal views but within the morals of society.

This culminates with the person applying these skills to repair the damage of the things that have been holding them back in life now. These issues are often formed earlier in life and need to be repaired now so that the person in treatment can be free to live a happy, drug free, and productive life.

The final stage is made specifically for the individual and it is created after the case supervisor has been able to see what that individual’s progress is and what needs to be worked on further ensure their success.

This method is successful in all drug rehab centers. It helps the person become a happy, productive, drug free member of society.

Fast facts

There were 118 documented motor vehicle fatalities in the province of Manitoba in the year 2003. Of those 118, 111 were known to have alcohol involvement in some way. That translates to alcohol having been a contributing factor in 96.1% of all these deaths. 44.1% were confirmed as being alcohol related.

There were 225 single vehicle crashes in Manitoba in 2003, where eighty injuries were suffered. Of those injuries, 36.4% were found to have alcohol involvement. During this same period, there were 321 multi vehicle collisions in Manitoba. 21 or 6.5% of these were classed as being alcohol related. The study concluded that the difference between alcohol being present and being a bestowing factor depended on the sum of info available.  Another contributing factor involved the position of the person(s) who died.  Any fatality related to driving under the influence is considered to be alcohol involved if at least one party involved was determined to be intoxicated.  This could include pedestrians, or any driver.

In the province of Ontario it costs a minimum of $200 to see a doctor before any tests have been undertaken whatsoever.  If this statistic were to be used as a standard, the approximate cost on the Manitoban medical service would amount to approximately $20,600 in relation to alcohol related injuries. Imagine what this money could be used for instead of having been wasted on injuries which shouldn’t have occurred in the first place?
